Sound methods for describing and summarizing quantitative data are key to successfully publishing and even simply sharing your classroom research or assessment data with others. This workshop will cover basic descriptive and inferential methods for analyzing and displaying quantitative data. Therefore, this workshop is appropriate for anyone embarking on a classroom research project or assessment report that possesses even a small quantitative data component. Topics include organizing data for analysis, summarizing and displaying categorical and continuous variables, and basic inferential statistics (i.e., one and two sample t-tests, paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA, etc.). Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops for workshop activities (however, MacBook Pros are available, if needed).
