Classroom management is a critical aspect of effective teaching.  Classroom management may include policies and procedures and the establishment of a tone that promotes student engagement and responsibility.  Proactive (vs. reactive) classroom management of students and the learning environment preempts disruptions, conflict, and diversions that may disrupt otherwise meaningful learning experiences.  In this case-based workshop, participants will contribute to a discussion of common teaching challenges, example classroom policies, and the characteristics of effective classroom management styles.
