The University recognizes the significant contribution graduate students make to the instructional mission of the University with several teaching awards, and with the Future Faculty Program.
The Center for Teaching and Learning administers the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Instruction; and the Excellence in Teaching Award, sponsored by the Graduate School.
Nominees for either award must have fulfilled TA Policy, have taught at least once within the last two terms, and must be enrolled fulltime in the semester of application. Further details for eligibility are detailed below and are on the respective award applications.
**The deadline for the Spring 2018 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award and the Excellence in Teaching Award has been extended to JANUARY 22nd at 5pm due to weather-related closures and delayed openings.
