Writing is more than a way to assess learning—it’s a powerful tool for active learning. In this workshop, we’ll explore practical, low-stakes writing strategies that help students think, connect ideas, and engage more deeply with course content, even in the age of generative AI. Facilitators will model several approaches, and participants will brainstorm ways to use writing-to-learn activities across a range of courses and instructional settings.
