If you’ve ever asked Dr. Google, PhD: What is a teaching philosophy statement? -or- How do I write a teaching statement? you were likely inundated with resources, all presenting different points of view. It’s hard to know where or how to start. In this workshop, you’ll leave with a key understanding of what the TPS is, when and why you need it, and who you are writing it for. We’ll also identify your teaching values and connect them with your classroom practice. You’ll leave with a clear concept map of your teaching and how you can translate it into a TPS for the academic job search.
