Register to join The Reflective Collective for Fall 2025!

The Reflective Collective brings together a group of faculty each Fall and Spring semester to level up as instructors by engaging in deep and purposeful reflection on their teaching. In just one hour per week, members of The Reflective Collective work through a series of activities to define, pursue, and meaningfully engage with goals for their teaching.

How it Works

  • Semester Kickoff to set the stage.
  • Weekly Reflections: we’ll send you a prompt at the beginning of the week, and you engage with it at a time that works for you!
  • Monthly Cohort Meetings to share progress and ideas, and move forward in the reflection process (available in person or online).
  • Semester Celebration & Synthesis to wrap things up for the semester.

Benefits & Outcomes

  • Pursuit of professional development in teaching, contributing to your annual teaching narrative.
  • Support solving teaching challenges and pursuing new ideas.
  • Increased awareness of (and development of metrics for measuring) your impact on student success.
  • Exchange of ideas with like-minded colleagues around campus.
  • Develop as a reflective practitioner, thinking critically about your contributions to student success.
