Shereen Sayed

Graduate Assistant for Teaching & Learning

Shereen Sayed is a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Teaching and Learning. She is pursuing a PhD in the Educational Theory and Practice department in the College of Education in UGA. Since 2015, Shereen has been supporting and empowering educators in their growth in both K-12 and higher education institutions. In her work, Shereen focuses on the principles of peace education and STEAM interdisciplinary education, among other pedagogies.

Shereen had over 9 years’ experience in multinational corporations before she decided to shift her career to education, recognizing the gap between the skills needed in real life and what the educational institutions are offering their students. Therefore she shifted towards education with a strong belief that the road to real world transformation is a powerful and holistic learning experience.

Shereen has been passionately involved with several start-ups and non-for profit organizations in Egypt as a curriculum designer, researcher, facilitator and instructor. Her passion is to work with educators who work in marginalized communities to help them design learning processes that adopt the latest learning techniques and pedagogies in the world while maintaining an eye on the contextual elements.
