Terri Dunbar is the Assistant Director for Teaching Engagement at the Center for Teaching and Learning. In this role, she leads instructional development programs related to active learning and other evidence-based teaching methods for instructors at UGA.
Prior to joining the CTL in 2025, Terri worked on the DeLTA project as a postdoctoral researcher, supporting the implementation of new teaching evaluation processes in UGA departments. She received her PhD in Engineering Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2023, where she also worked in the Center for Teaching and Learning supporting teaching assistant development and future faculty initiatives. She has taught courses in research design, statistics, engineering psychology, and classroom teaching, and is passionate about creating authentic learning experiences for students.
