Having students think about what they are learning as they are learning (aka: Active Learning) involves many intentional instructional choices and practices. It entails purposefully engaging all students in the learning process and asking them to go beyond simply listening, watching, or reading. In this workshop, we’ll define active learning and explore the science behind how it supports long-lasting learning. We’ll then identify and develop opportunities to implement active learning strategies when you teach.
