Course Design 101

Teaching is both an art and a science, as is the development of the courses that we teach. Whether you are designing something to be taught for the first time, adapting someone else’s materials for your purposes, or revising a course you have previously taught, you can increase your teaching effectiveness (and efficiency!) by implementing evidence-based best practices as you plan. In this workshop, we’ll focus on backward design and how to write well-formed learning outcomes, which are key practices for success in teaching at any level.
