Ruth Poproski

Senior Associate Director for Teaching and Learning

Ruth Poproski is the Senior Associate Director for Teaching and Learning at the Center for Teaching and Learning. In this role she provides leadership for our work with faculty and graduate students, oversees management of eLC, partners on and contributes to campus initiatives related to teaching and learning at GUA, and supervises the work of others who do the same. Ruth also leads efforts to strengthen assessment across the CTL and engage in effective communication with campus stakeholders.

Ruth came to UGA in 2019 from Georgia Tech and Carnegie Mellon University, where she worked as Teaching Consultant and Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning, respectively. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Logic, Computation, and Methodology, and an M.A. in Philosophy. She has taught courses in Philosophy, Logic, and Game Theory, and is passionate about supporting good course design, teaching, and mentoring practices in higher education. Prior to her return to school to pursue graduate degrees, Ruth worked as an associate pastor and developed programming and services for underprivileged teenagers and young adults.
