TILTed Towards Success

Transparency in Learning and Teaching—aka TILT—is a framework that we can use to communicate assignment expectations. By clearly explaining the goal, purpose, and steps for completing an assignment to our students, we allow them to focus their energy on the assignment itself, instead of trying to figure out what exactly we want. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the benefits of the TILT framework and identify how to “TILT” an assignment prompt in our individual contexts.
