Nominations for the 2025 Excellence in Teaching Awards are now closed. Nominations for the 2026 cycle will open in Fall 2025.

The Center for Teaching and Learning administers the Excellence in Teaching Award (ETA), sponsored by the Graduate School. This highly competitive award recognizes UGA graduate students who have demonstrated superior teaching skills and contributed to teaching beyond their own classroom responsibilities. The Excellence in Teaching Award is the top teaching award for graduate students at UGA.

ETA Nominations

Nominations for this award are accepted during the Fall semester, and nominees are asked to submit portfolios for review by mid-January. Graduate Coordinators are invited to nominate one UGA graduate student for this award each year.

Winners of this award are typically announced by the Graduate School during Honors Week.
