Editing and Audio Recording Studio
CTL’s editing and audio recording studio is available at no charge.
Our editing and audio recording studio is equipped with an audio recording booth and an editing station computer. The editing and audio recording studio is available to faculty, staff, and students interested in using technology for academic course or course related projects, and departmental needs.
The audio recording booth can be used to create an audio file for podcast, voice overs, narrations, portfolios, class lectures or presentations and, oral history projects. It can also be used to practice public speaking, presentation, and interview skills.
The editing station computer provides access to the iMovie and Adobe suite (premier, photoshop, encoder) video editing tools, and Toast software (used to burn DVDs of videos created in the editing studio).
If you plan to use our editing studio, we recommend that you gain familiarity with this software in advance of your visit, as editing a video is a creative process and can be time-consuming. Introductory instructional videos for how to use this software can be found on LinkedIn Learning, provided free to all UGA faculty, staff, and students.
